About Šibenik
Šibenik is situated in the central part of the Croatian Adriatic Coast, in the picturesque and indented bay where the Krka River, one of the most beautiful karst rivers in Croatia enters the sea. Today Šibenik, with 46,332 inhabitants, is the administrative, political, economic and socio-cultural center of the Šibenik-Knin County.ings.

Due to global concerns over COVID 19, the novel coronavirus, the 9th Croatian Congress of Nephrology, Dialysis and Transplantation with international participation will be held online from October 22-24, 2020. It will be possible to access the online congress through the official website: nefro2020.conventuscredo.hr
The 5th Congress of Mediterranean Kidney Society (MKS) has been postponed until next year and will take place as part of the 8th Croatian Symposium on Renal Replacement Therapy with international participation – DiaTransplant 2021, from October 14-17, 2021 in Opatija, Croatia.
The 14th Symposium of Nurses and Technicians in Nephrology with international participation is postponed and will be held when more favourable epidemiological conditions allow it.

WELCOME
Dear colleagues,
It is my great honor and pleasure to invite you to the 9th Croatian Congress of Nephrology, Dialysis and Transplantation with international participation which will take place from October 22-24, 2020. Current epidemiological situation, the unpredictability of the COVID-19 pandemic, but also the responsibility towards the healthcare system influenced our decision to hold our Congress for the first time in the online form.
Although aware that the exchange of experiences, socializing and meeting colleagues and old friends can hardly be compensated in the online world, we hope that the appeal of the program will still attract your attention and that you will join us and participate in the online congress, lectures, workshops and live discussions.
The Congress will present current topics from all areas of nephrology, with lecturers from Croatia and abroad, which will present in a new and comprehensive way highlighting news and numerous dilemmas from everyday work that will be discussed through plenary lectures, round tables and discussions. A significant portion of the Congress will be dedicated to presenting your own scientific and professional results and we invite you to contribute to the quality of Congress through your active participation.
Unfortunately, this year our nurses and technicians will not join us in our work. They have decided to postpone their symposium until the improvement of epidemiological conditions. Regardless of this decision, we invite all interested participants who find the congress topics appealing to the nursing profession to register so that they may follow the desired content.
Finally, I would like to thank all colleagues who participated in the drafting of the Congress program, the entire Board of Directors and our Secretary for flexibility and the constant changes and great commitment they have given and still give to ensure the continuity of education and activities of the Association.
With the primary desire to keep us all healthy, I welcome you to our first online Congress.
